Debra Orner, Vice President of the Cambria Regional Chamber of Commerce, is now serving as Chairman of the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals (PACP).
Orner’s chairmanship was announced at the PACP Chamber Professionals & Leadership Conference held this past year in Barnesville, Pa. Orner has been a member of the PACP for 20 years and has served in various roles including chair of the Chamber Professionals and Leadership Conference, co-chair of Staff Development Day and as a member of the Communications Committee.

In her new role, Orner will help develop a plan of action for PACP to continue assisting in the enhancement of quality education and professional development opportunities for chamber professionals statewide.
“As one of the premiere leadership development organizations for Chamber professionals, PACP has been so important to me throughout my career,” says Orner. “The chairmanship is particularly meaningful to me since it is a vote of confidence and recognition from my colleagues across the state, and I’m especially proud to be the first non-CEO in the history of the organization to be elected chair. It is my profound honor to lead this organization and work to fulfill its mission of providing quality professional development and education to our members across Pennsylvania.”
Key events for PACP include the annual Chamber Professionals & Leadership Conference, Chamber Day in Harrisburg, and ongoing professional development webinars and programs.
In addition to her Chamber work at the local and state level, Orner is very active in the community serving on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross, PA Mountains; Vice President of United Neighborhoods of Greater Johnstown; Hope 4 Johnstown Board of Directors; Co-Chair of Cure Violence; Advisory Board University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown Business and Enterprise Division; Vision 2025 Rivers Capture Team; Cambria County Steering Committee, Alleghenies Ahead; volunteer with Achilles International – Pittsburgh Chapter.
Orner is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, the John B. Gunter Leadership Initiative and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management.
